She was born into a family of two living at the outskirts of Klamath. From her very birth it was quite apparent that there was plenty wrong with her physically, but her parents decided to keep her anyway. It soon turned out that while her body might be different, it's not hindering her at all. Quite the opposite, she was developing motor and acrobatic skills much faster than the norm for the children her age. Her mind was working just fine, too. She loved tinkering with things and picked up on things fast, so she picked up the weird stares cast her way by the neighbors, as well as their various comments, and how they affected her family, who by now had another two, normal children. When she was nearing adulthood, she decided that something had to be done about it. Packing up her worldly possessions and a cloak she bought damaged for money she saved and repaired herself and left her home, even though her parents insisted she stay. They did manage, however, to make her promise she'd drop by in a few years.
Since then she's been bumping around the wasteland, staying alive and learning how to live on her own. And to avoid places like the Vault City.
Eventually, following a hint given by another traveler she met, she arrived at the sprawling city of New Reno, the den of villainy, city of gained and broken dreams, where she probably would be one of the more normal sights, at least in the minds of junkies, clouded by Jet.
